Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 2 : Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today inaugurated the Custom Hiring Centre(CHC) at Kyiem Cluster, Mawphlang Block with MLA Sh. S K. Sunn, DC officials from MBMA and other officials .
The CHC will enable #farmers to lessen manual labour and will provide them with fee-based custom hiring agriculture tools and farm machineries at reasonable prices.

The setting up of the CHC will enable farmers to double their income, increase overall production and also increase land under irrigation.
The CM also distributed low smoke cooking chulhas to a few households that were designed by the Engineering Division of the Soil & Water Conservation Department.
