Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 16 : The state reported 82 new Covid cases till Sunday evening , taking the total number of active cases to 693, while 73 patients were dischaged after recovery taking the total number of recovered patients to 675 .
In East Khasi Hills , 20 new cases were reported including 5 from BSF and 15 general public .
In West Garo Hills, 48 new cases including 39 from BSF and 9 general public and in Ri-Bhoi district 14 general public were tested positive.
79 patients have recovered on Sunday which includes 3 from Ri Bhoi ,1 in West Jaiñtia Hills district, 3 in Ri Bhoi and 75 in East Khasi Hills district.
With 75 recoveries on Sunday the number of recoveries in the State has gone up to 675 .
So far 5 Covid deaths have been reported in the state .
