Shillong ( Meghalaya ) , June 18 : Nine more Covid -19 patients succumbed to their infections in the state in the last 24 hours taking the death toll so far to 771 .
East Khasi Hills reported 3 deaths while 1 each was reported from Ri Bhoi , East Jaintia Hills , South West Garo Hills , West Garo Hills , WEst Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills .

According to a Health department press release , 650 new cases were detected in the state on Friday out which 220 are from East Khasi Hills, 109 from West Garo Hills , 101 from West Jaintia Hills and 92 from Ri Bhoi .
A total of 431 patients undergoing treatment were released today after full recovery .
The active cases as of now stand at 4819 .
