Shillong (Meghalaya) , Sept 8 : 46 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Tuesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,076 .
However , after the recovery of 1,716 patients the total number of active cases in the state now stand at 1343 .
Among the new cases East Khasi Hills district reported 25 cases which includes 20 general public and 5 from Armed Forces ,West Garo Hills reported 13 cases which includes 2 from the Armed Forces and 11 general public , South West Garo Hills reported 3 and all of them general public and 1 case was reported from Ri – Bhoi District .
A total of 156 patients were discharged on Tuesday after full recovery .
Confirming the figures CM Conrad Sangma tweeted , ” 156 individuals have recovered from corona-virus in the State today.
Total Active Cases: 1343
Total BSF and Armed Forces: 295
Total Others: 1048
Total Recovered: 1716″
