Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 4 : Four more Covid deaths were reported in the state today taking the death toll to 58.
According to official sources , the Covid patients who passed away today have been identified as Newsalin Iawphniaw aged 30 years sof Mawsaw, South West Khasi Hills; Ellia R Marak aged 58 years , of DM Line 95, MES Shillong; Mushi Dkhar aged 80 years , of Mawbah; and Kali Thapa aged 63 years of Lapalang.
A total of 200 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state on Sunday taking the active cases in the state to 2,083.
Among the new cases 126 were reported from East Khasi Hills District which includes 86 civilians and 40 from Armed Forces . Ri -Bhoi District reported 44 new cases which includes 42 civilians and 2 from the Armed Forces .
West Garo Hills District reported 12 new cases, West Jaintia Hills 8 new cases , South West Garo Hills reported 6 new cases , South West Khasi Hills 2 new cases and North Garo Hills and South Garo Hills reported 1 case each.
A total of 74 patients were declared recovered today .
