Shillong ( Meghalaya) , July 1 : The state registered 2 more new Covid cases on Wednesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 55. The active cases in the state stand at 12 .
The new cases are of armed forces personnel who belong to the same camp in Shillong where two other personnel were tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
The 2 new cases are high-risk contacts of a positive case from the camp.

With the 2 new cases today a total of 5 armed forces personnel have tested Covid positive so far .
Chief Minister , Conrad Sangma tweeted , “Two more High Risk Contacts of a positive case from the same armed forces personnel camp in Shillong have tested positive for COVID 19.”
