Guwahati( Assam), July 2 : A total of 378 Covid positive cases were detected in the Guwahati taking the total number of cases detected in the state to 548 .
Guwahati has been seeing alarming spike in the past few day and has spread at the community level .
The total number of cases in Assam has almost reached 9000 mark with a total of 8955 cases recorded so far .
The city is presently under total lockdown for 14 days with everything shut except medical facilities .
The Health Minister has appealed to all the residents of the city to follow the lockdown norms sincerely .
Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated a 900-bed COVID19 care hospital at the College of Veterinary Science playground, Khanapara in Guwahati .
Sarma also said that a 450-bed COVID19 care hospital is being readied at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati .
He tweeted on Wednesday night , “📌Alert ~ 408 new #COVID19+ cases detected today.
In last 24 hours 378 cases reported from Guwahati City. We request all to follow lockdown rules sincerely
