Shillong (Meghalaya), April 20 : A total of 137 new Covid cases were detected in the state today taking the number of active cases up to 857.

34 patients were also declared recovered today .
Among the 857 active cases East Khasi Hills is the worst affected with 618 followed by West Jaintia Hills with 199 cases , 56 in Ri-Bhoi, 22 in West Khasi Hills, 19 in East Jaintia Hills, 14 in West Garo Hills, 7 in South West Khasi Hills and 1 each in East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills.
