Shillong ( Meghalaya), June 12 : 13 more Covid -19 patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours taking the death toll so far to 727 .
Among the new deaths , 10 were reported from East Khasi Hills and 1 each from South West Garo Hills , West Garo Hills and West Jaintia Hills .
An official statement from the health department said that 501 new cases were detected on Saturday out of which 158 were from East Khasi Hills .

A total of 610 patients undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the state were discharged today after full recovery .
The active cases as of now stands at 4871 .
