Imphal(Manipur), May 13 : The legendary Theatre personality of international repute Ratan Thiyam, (an acclaimed playwright and theatre director) has tested Covid positive on Tuesday.
He is undergoing treatment in Raj Medicity, Imphal according to a reliable source.

He has been admitted to the ICU and is being administered oxygen but his condition is “stable”.
The Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Ratan Thiyam is one of the leading figures of the ‘theatre of roots’ movement in Indian theatre, which started in the 1970s.
He is a well known Writer, director, composer, designer, painter and actor. He is considered one of the most important and influential theater-makers on the international performance scene.
