Imphal(Manipur), May 19 :The state on Wednesday reported a new grim record of 23 new deaths. The state’s death toll has now reached 635 according to the Health Department.
In the past 24 hours, 582 were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases. The caseload has now reached 6668 in the state.
The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (137), Imphal West (278), Thoubal (19). Bishnupur (26). Kakching (20), Ukhrul (11), Churachandpur (51), Chandel (11), Senapati (6). Tamenglong (2). Tengnoupal (3), Kangpokpi (5) and Pherzawl (1). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1355 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 523 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
As per the latest information, 323391 individuals have been vaccinated in the state.
As per a report from the health department, Air passengers who travelled to the State on (i) 11th May, 2021 by Indigo flight 6E-2251 in rows 31-37 (ii) 8th May, 2021 by Air India Al-889 in rows 18-24 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) for further surveillance and necessary testing.
