Imphal (Manipur) , Aug 17 : A total of 118 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Monday taking the total number of cases in the state to 4687 .
Among the new cases 94 cases are from the general population while 24 are from Central Armed Police Force .
On Monday , a male patient aged 48 years hailing from Imphal East succumbed to his infections at RIMS due to Covid and other co -morbid health conditions . With this the death toll in the state has gone up to 17 .

A total of 102 patients were today discharged from various hospitals and Covid Centers after recovery .
The total cases in the state as of now stand at 4687 , discharged after recovery 2734 , active cases 1936 . The recovery rate stands at 58 .33 % .
