2792 fresh Covid cases detected in Assam on Monday , Kamrup (M) reports 458

Guwahati (Assam) , Aug 17 : A total of 2792 new Covid cases were reported in the state today taking the total number of cases in the state to 79, 667 .

Among the cases reported today , 458 were from Kamrup (Metro), 227 from Cachar , 225 from Dibrugarh and 195 from Kamrup (Rural ) .

Confirming the figures , State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 2792 #COVID cases detected today out of 49510 tests done in last 24 hours

Positivity Rate- 5.63%

Kamrup (M)- 458, Cachar- 227, Dibrugarh- 225, Kamrup (R)- 195
