Shillong ( Meghalaya ), Sept 11 : Four of thye six hard core criminals who escaped from Jowai District Jail after overpowering the prison wardens on Saturday were lynched by a mob today , Sept , 11 , at Shangpung,in Jaintia Hills district.
The four includes I Love You Talang who was arrested on murder charge .
Police has received the the video showing the lynching after it went viral .
In the video , villagers are seen beating the criminals who had taken shelter in the jungle.
According to sources , I Love You Talang , Lodestar Tang , Marsanki Tariang , Shidor Dkhar were lynched by the mob. However , Ramesh Dkhar and Rikmenlang Lamare managed to escape from the mob.
Meanwhile,police here arrested five jail staff for lapses in the jail break and conspiring with the escapees. They are Rajesh Swer (head warder), Pyndapbor Bamon (warder), Chamilan Kynjing (warder), Damelahun Sunn ( warder) and Alexius Iawram ( warder).
On Saturday , Ramesh Dkhar, I Love You Talang , Marsanki Tariang, Rikmenlang Lamare, Shidorki Dkhar and Lodestar Tang had escaped from Jowai District Jail after overpowering and injuring a prison guard.
