Five more Covid deaths in the state , new cases at 429

Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 12: Five more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the state in past 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,200.

While 4 deaths were from East Khasi Hills , 1 case of death was recorded in Ri Bhoi .

According to official sources , 429 patients were detected in the state on Thursday with the East Khasi Hills on the top with 153 cases .

381 patients were also discharged on Thursday after full recovery .

The active cases now stand at 4, 539 .
