Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 17: The organizers of the much-published Cherry Blossom Festival 2023 informed that the first day of the three- day festival scheduled tat Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong on Friday stands cancelled due to inclement weather.
The artistes due to perform on the first day of the festival, November 17 were – Sanam, Hybrid Theory, SURL, Kenny Musik, 4th Element, The Band Phantasm, DBRYN, Gwyneth, Dalariti, CYCO, Aminio, Dr Legend, Chevinia.
The three-day festival will conclude on Sunday and will feature live performance by renowned singers and artistes like former Boyzone member Ronan Keating and American hit-maker Ne-Yo of the ‘Let me love you’ fame.
A statement released by the organizers said,” Impending rain poses a potential risk to all festival goers and collaborators, and your safety is our top priority.”
The statement informed that Day 1 ticket holders will be given free access to either Day 2 or Day 3. Season Pass Holders will get the amount of the Day-1 show refunded on their RFID cards.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding,” the statement said .
