Shillong (Meghalaya), June 27: Sports Minister Shakliar Warjri accompanied Kettlebell Champion Sandeep Sharma to meet Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday, celebrating Sharma’s recent achievement of winning a bronze medal in the 80 kg weight category at the Kettlebell World Championships in Poland.
Sangma congratulated Sharma for his outstanding performance and posed for a photo with the accomplished athlete. Sharma’s latest accolade adds to his impressive track record, including a gold medal at the WKSF Kettlebell Asia Championships held in Mumbai in December 2023.
During that event, he set a record with 94 repetitions in the 10-minute 24kg Snatch event, showcasing his remarkable endurance and skill.
Sharma’s dedication and commitment to the sport have been pivotal to his success. He continues to push boundaries and inspire aspiring athletes both in Meghalaya and across the nation.
