Itanagar, Aug 15 : Tragedy struck Arunachal Pradesh on Independence Day as flash floods and landslides claimed lives and left soldiers missing.
Four workers died after a landslide hit a road construction site in Upper Subansiri district. In Dibang Valley, a flash flood swept through the 5th Grenadiers’ Pasu Pani Army Camp. Of 7 jawans washed away, 2 were rescued while 5 remain missing.

Rescue teams from ITBP, 62 RCC of GREF, Arunachal Pradesh Police and local volunteers were deployed from early morning to trace the missing personnel. Authorities said search and relief operations are continuing in both districts.
