Shillong, Oct 10: Mawlai SC were crowned champions of the Shillong Premier League 2026 as the most intense edition of the league in recent years ended at SSA Stadium on Saturday.
Mawlai, who had wrapped up the title, lifted the trophy at the closing ceremony and took home Rs 6 lakh, while runners-up Shillong Lajong received Rs 3 lakh.

Earlier, Lajong sealed second place with a 3-0 win over Rangdajied United, while Nongkseh and defending champions Langsning played out a 1-1 draw under lights to finish third and fourth.
Mawlai and Lajong advance directly to the SSA Super Cup semifinals, while Nongkseh, Langsning, Meghalaya Police and Sawmer will go through the playoffs next week.
