New Delhi Sep 25: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is all set to start a nationwide agitation from October 2 if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar fails to step down by the next 24 hours.
According to CJP founder, Abhijeet Dipke, they would stage nationwide protests from the day that marks Gandhi Jayanti, if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar does not resign by Saturday.
“If Gyanesh Kumar does not resign by tomorrow, CJP will begin its nationwide protest from Mumbai on 2 October and take it to cities across India. This Gandhi Jayanti lets pledge to save democracy,” said Abhijeet Dipke in a post on X.
Notably, addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said: “If within 48 hours Gyanesh Kumar doesn’t resign, the Cockroach Janata Party will start a nationwide agitation. We won’t step back till the time Gyanesh Kumar resigns.”
Dipke said that the functioning of the Election Commission under Kumar had undermined democracy.
