Shillong 29 : Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Saturday promised to restore the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose that was left vandalized by a few violent KSU protestors on August 19 in Shillong.
He disclosed it after visiting the R.R. Colony in Rynjah and met members of the local residents a week after the vandalism amid a wave of violent protest organized by the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU).
He further told the residents that the damaged bust would be restored and sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for the restoration work.
