Shillong/New Delhi, July 22: The Raja Raghuvanshi murder case hits the Supreme Court on Wednesday, with the top court already sending a clear message to prime accused Sonam Raghuvanshi to surrender first.
With the crucial hearing just hours away, East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Siam said Meghalaya Police has hit pause and is waiting for the apex court’s orders.
“The Supreme Court is hearing the matter tomorrow. We will take further action only after receiving instructions from the court,” Syiem told reporters.
The case, which shocked Meghalaya earlier this year, involves the alleged murder of Raja Raghuvanshi. Sonam Raghuvanshi has been named as the prime accused and has been under the scanner since the beginning.
All eyes are now on tomorrow’s hearing, where the SC is expected to lay down the roadmap for custody, investigation and the next legal steps in the high-profile murder case.
The police, the family, and the public are waiting to see which way the gavel swings.
