Bagmara(Meghalaya), Jan 21 : Meghalaya marked its 54th Statehood Day in Baghmara, with Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma calling for unity and collective effort to drive the state’s progress. The event featured cultural performances, award presentations, and announcements of new development projects, including a ₹140 crore water supply project for Baghmara.
CM Sangma paid tribute to the founding fathers, highlighting the state’s journey to statehood and its rich cultural heritage. Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong and Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui also spoke, emphasizing the government’s commitment to promoting development and unity.
The celebration showcased Meghalaya’s diversity and resilience, with attendees pledging to work together towards a brighter future for the state.
