Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 26: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong has partnered with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) to promote financial literacy in Meghalaya. As part of this initiative, IIM Shillong students will receive free training and certification in financial matters, including SEBI and NISM certifications.
The program aims to create a group of certified trainers and advocates who can spread financial knowledge across the state, starting in Shillong and expanding to all 12 districts.
This partnership reflects the commitment of both IIM Shillong and AMFI to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed financial decisions. By incorporating AMFI certifications into the students’ education, the initiative hopes to foster a culture of financial literacy and responsibility.
The collaboration between IIM Shillong and AMFI is part of AMFI’s broader efforts to deepen financial literacy and expand its reach across the country. AMFI has been working tirelessly to promote financial awareness and education, and this partnership is a significant step towards achieving its goals.
