Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan 16: The 6th Meghalaya Games 2025 got off to an electrifying start with exciting football matches at the Kiang Nangbah Stadium in Jowai today.

In the Women Senior Category, East Khasi Hills dominated North Garo Hills with an impressive 11-2 win. West Garo Hills then defeated South Garo Hills 4-0, while East Jaintia Hills edged past East Garo Hills 2-1. The day concluded with South West Khasi Hills securing a 1-0 win against West Khasi Hills.
The 6th Meghalaya Games 2025, running from Jan 16 to 25, will formally kick off on Jan 20 .
Over 3500 players will compete in 29 disciplines, including four demo sports.
