Shillong (Meghalaya), Sept 20: In a significant crackdown on smuggling activities, the Border Security Force (BSF) has made two major seizures along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya. On Thursday, September 19, 2024, a patrolling party of 193 Bn BSF apprehended an Indian national with a vehicle loaded with buffalo horns concealed in bags.
In a follow-up operation on September 20, 2024, the same battalion seized liquor worth over Rs 13 lakhs intended for smuggling into Bangladesh. These successful operations demonstrate the BSF’s commitment to securing India’s borders and combating smuggling.
