Shillong ( Meghalaya), Feb 24 : A massive fire broke out at the office Shillong Bar Association near East Khasi Hills DCs office here at around 10.pm today , Saturday, Feb 23 , 2024.
Fire personnel are presently engaged in dousing the blaze and operations are underway.
According to the Chief Minister the cause of the fire was due to short-circuit .

The damage is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, printers , laptops ,files , records, ids and bar funds have been burnt to ashes.
On hearing the news, CM Conrad Sangma and Deputy CM , S .Dhar rushed to the spot to access the damages .
