Shillong (Meghalaya), June 16 : 2 more persons in Meghalaya have recovered from COVID-19, reducing the number of active cases in the state to 15, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said on Tuesday. The last COVID-19 case was detected in Meghalaya on June 10.
He tweeted , “2 more persons have recovered from West Garo Hills after testing negative twice.
Total Active cases 15
Total recovered 28
The total number of cases reported in the state is 44 with one death .
3 districts of the state , East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and South West Khasi Hills have not reported a single Covid positive case till date.
Meanwhile , The DHS (M) Dr. Aman Warr on Tuesday evening clarified that the case of an elderly man contracting Covid -19 and currently undergoing treatment in Roberts Hospital here is completely false. He added that the number of positive cases in the state stands at 44 and the active cases have come down to 14.
