Kokrajhar (Assam),Mar 1: BPF ruled BTC administration indulged in large scale corruption in its 17 year long rule in the administration.Citizens from all sections have been denied from development and welfare in the region due to misrule in the region”, said UPPL president Pramod Boro.
Former ABSU leader and now the president of UPPL , Pramod Boro while addressing a Press Conference here today said that the BTC administration has failed fulfill the hopes hopes and aspirations of the general masses in the region.He said that UPPL was working for the welfare and development of the citizens since it’s inception in the region.
He added that his party will dedicate more towards upliftment and integration amongst all sections of the communities in near future.
Boro said that if his party voted to power in council they would stress to ensure a corruption free society with utmost dedication .
He claimed that his party was fully prepared to contest upcoming council elections by fielding their own candidates.
He said that people from all sections of the society want ‘parivartan’ as well development in entire region.
With regard to alliance with other political parties ,he said that his party was talking with several organisations,parties on the issue in true spirit in run up to the council elections and it would be finalised soon .
Earlier,Boro hoisted the party flag and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the office at Mwiderkhoro Road near Sister Margaret Nobel School here .
A central executive meeting of the party was held in Kokrajhar today that discussed on building up of strategy for the upcoming BTC council elections and plans for the welfare activities to be carried c out in the near future.
Meanwhile, president of Bodoland People’s Front(BPF) Hagrama Mohilary announced that Biswajit Daimary will be party candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in the state.He said that Daimary will file his nominations on March 13 next for the Rajya Sabha elections.
Mohilary,who is also BTC chief while addressing the reporters here said that BPF is meeting the BJP president Ranjit Dass tomorrow in Guwahati to discuss on crucial issues concerning the upcoming council elections.
He also said that the third phase of candidate’s list will declared within March 5 next where ten candidate’s names would be announced .
He also took a dig at a high police official from state government who had recently said that winning or defeat of political parties would depend on the police administration.
Mohilary added that he will intimate the state CM about the comment of the police officer to chief minister on Monday.
Mohilary also said that four factions of the NDFB would hold a meeting with the government where they would discuss on rehabilitation and withdrawal of cases pending against the NDFB members and leaders .
