Guwahati( Assam), Sept 22 : A mild earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale shook Assam and other neigbouring early this morning at 1.28 am .
According to the MET department The quake struck at a depth of 10 km on latitude 26. 346 degree North and longitude 91.338 degree East and its epicenter was at north-west of Hajo .

The tremor was also felt in the neighbouring state of Meghalaya.
No report of any damage due to the earthquake has been reported so far .
