Kokrajhar (Assam) ,July 1: Police nabbed four persons including the husband of the murdered lady for their involvement in murder of a lady at Sutarpara under Kokrajhar police station.
A headless body of the lady was recovered yesterday at Sutarpara near Titaguri uvder Kokrajhar police station.
Police rushed the spot and after thorough investigations , nabbed four persons who are alleged to be involved in the gruesome murder .
The arrested have been identified as Satiram Basumatary(husband of the killed lady)Gaidang Mushahary,Butonga Basumatary,Rabin Basumatary.
SP Kokrajhar Rakesh Roushan told South Asia Views that an investigation is in progress.
Meanwhile, the All Bodo Women’s Welfare Federation(ABWWF) has demanded strict punishment to the culprits who were involved with murder of the woman .
In a press statement,president of Kokrajhar district unit of ABWWF, Sucheta Basumatary has condemned the brutal murder of a woman that has created resentment among the the residents in the region.
A woman’s headless body was recovered on Sunday at Sutarpara near Kokrajhar police station who is alleged to have been killed by her husband and three other persons.The deceased has been identified as Bimala Basumatary.
Police have so far arrested four persons including her husband Satiram Basumatary and three others for their involvement in the murder .
Meanwhile the woman’s wing of BPF of Kokrajhar district unit has demanded that the culprits are hanged to death .
Speaking the reporters at a press conference here ,president of Kokrajhar district unit of BPF women’s wing,Jaymati Basumatary condemned the murder of the woman and demanded stern action by the police administration against the incident.
