Guwahati(Assam), Aug 9 : The health department will provide all the Covid patients who decide to go for home -isolation with pulse oximeters and tele -medicine facilities here starting from Monday .
Announcing this , Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Covid patients of Guwahati on Home -isolation will even profit from a tele-medicine service that may slowly be expanded to different parts of the state .
It may be stated that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, had initiated the same measure in June. In July , Delhi CM stated stated that not a single Covid patient in home isolation had died that month.
Health minister , H B Sarma tweeted , “From Monday August 10, 2020, all #COVID19 + patients preferring to stay in home isolation shall be given a pulse oximeter and first-line supportive medicine completely free in Guwahati City. We have also activated the tele medicine services for them through 104. The scheme shall be extended to other cities soon.”
