Kokrajhar (Assam),March 7: United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) is gaining its mass popularity among all sections of the society ahead the assembly elections in BTR(Bodoland Territorial Region) districts across the region.
The party is fully prepared with it’s strategy for contesting the forthcoming assembly elections with it’s own candidates in several constituencies in alliance with BJP.
On Sunday, social activist Manaranjan Brahma,ex BTC MCLA of BPF Indra Mahan Brahma, ex president of Dotma block youth BPF Andrias Hazoary (Taimur) along with over 1000 party members from BPF and several other parties formally joined the UPPL at a meeting held at Dotma HS school playground here .
UPPL party general secretary Maoti Brahma Hazoary,BTC executive member Ukil Mushahary, UPPL secretary Lawrence Islary and senior leaders welcomed the newly joined members with traditional Aronai and Phulam Gamocha.
UPPL party secretary Jyotirindra Brahma said that UPPL has prepared necessary strategy for contesting the upcoming assembly elections.He added that several new members from different parties including BPF, Congress etc are joining the UPPL in different places across the BTR districts.
He said that people want parivartan and development among the society.He informed that his party will be announcing the names of the candidates for the forthcoming assembly elections.
He said that his party and alliance partners will emerge victorious in all constituencies in the BTR districts.
” We are glad to announce that personalities like Indra Mohan Brahma, Manaranjan Brahma have joined hands with UPPL along with more than 1000 BPF workers in a programme. We all pledge to work together on the path of development in the region”, Brahma said.
Newly joined in the UPPL party, Manaranjan Brahma is likely to be candidate for the Kokrajhar West LAC in the forthcoming assembly elections from the party.
Brahma said that he and his followers joined the UPPL after seeing the welfare and development among the society.
