Kokrajhar (Assam),Nov 21: “BPF-BJP alliance would continue till end of term in the state as BJP central committee announced that the alliance is intact ‘,said Assam Social welfare minister and senior BPF leader Pramila Rani Brahma.
In an interview to South Asia Views today in Kokrajhar, Brahma said that BPF has been maintaining alliance with BJP as the alliance was with BJP central committee and not with state BJP party.
She added that BPF is winning by absolute majority the ensuing BTC council polls to form the BTC council administration for the fourth consecutive term.
She said that the BPF-BJP alliance would continue till the end of the tenure of the state government in Assam .
” BJP is our big brother and BPF is the small brother, so our alliance is intact in the state”, Brahma added.
“I don’t know anything if the alliance spirit is still continuing with BJP at today’s juncture as BJP central committee has announced for continuing”, BPF president Hagrama Mohilary said.
“What has been discussed within BJP ,I ‘am still not aware . The alliance will continue or not will depend on time”, Mohilary said.
He also said that there has been no impact on the party after leaders like MP Biswajit Daimary and MLA Emmanuel Mushahary left the BPF to join BJP.
