Kokrajhar ( Assam),April 3: The campaigning for the third and final phase has gained momentum with dancing and singing to woo the common voters for the third phase of the assembly elections in the districts of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) scheduled to be held on April 6.
On Saturday, BPF took out a padayatra in Kokrajhar town in the evening in support of BPF candidate for Kokrajhar East constituency Pramila Rani Brahma where hundreds of party supporters and well wishers participated . The yatra started from DNH high school ground traversed to JD Road, fly over,DC office road, Vivekananda path and concluded at BPF office.
BPF candidate and Assam Social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma also participated and presented Bagurumba dancing with her party followers with the theme song of BPF .
Brahma with her attractive Bagurumba dance created sensation amusement among the participating party supporters.
Brahma said that she is now becoming very strong as her party followers and supporters are coming forward to extend support to her candidature and was confident of winning the Kokrajhar East constituency for seventh straight term.
She said that Assembly election is like a festival and people are expecting massive development in days to come.
BPF president Hagrama Mohilary also interacted with party supporter and well wishers while campaigning for party candidate Pramila Rani Brahma at Dhawliguri in Kokrajhar district in the evening.
He said that his party candidates across the 12 constituencies of BTC districts are surely going to win as people cutting across the communities are extending their support.
Meanwhile, BTR CEM and UPPL president Pramod Boro and bjp MP Biswajit Daimary addressed an election campaign at Simbargaon in support of UPPL candidate for Kokrajhar East constituency Lawrence Islary.
Boro also participated in a road show at Gossaigaon town in support of UPPL candidate for Gossaigaon constituency in the evening today.
Boro said that his UPPL and alliance partners are winning majority seats across the BTR districts as people will be voting in favour of NDA candidates.
Boro was confident of winning 8-10 seats in BTR districts in the assembly elections.
He also declared that NDA alliance is forming government in the state for second straight term.
” People of the state are want parivartan and massive development in the state”,Boro said.
BTR CEM Boro has hailed the decision of reduction to 24 hours from 48 hours on campaigning imposed on Assam Health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma by the ECI .
Rajya Sabha MP and BJP candidate of Paneri constituency Biswajit Daimary expressed confidence of winning the majority seats in the state.
UPPL candidate and one of BTR accord signatories Lawrence Islary said that this time people from all walks of life are coming forward to extend support to his candidature.
He said that UPPL led coalition government in BTC was working for the welfare and development of all communities since taking over the running of the council.
On the other hand, a tough contest is expected in No.29 Kokrajhar West constituency between BPF candidate Rabiram Narzary and UPPL candidate Manaranjan Brahma in the ongoing assembly elections.
Both party’s candidates are seeing busy in their campaigning in support of their candidature to woo the voters for the ongoing assembly elections.
On Saturday, UPPL candidate Manaranjan Brahma addressed election campaigning meetings at Joymaguri,Paulpara and Pipe Bazar near Gossaigaon town.
Nearly 300 people joined the UPPL at Joymaguri in the presence of UPPL candidate Brahma.
Brahma interacted with common voters and appealed to the citizens to vote in favor of his candidature. He said that people cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support to the UPPL and it’s candidates for better administration.
He said that the BTR districts are getting new ray of hope for healthy and prosperous living under the leadership of BTR CEM Pramod Boro.
He has expressed his confidence in winning from the Kokrajhar West constituency by defeating BPF candidate Rabiram Narzary by huge margin of votes .
BPF candidate Rabiram Narzary also addressed an election meeting at Chitila, Fakiragram in support of his candidature. He said that he is getting majority support from different communities and organizations and accordingly he is going to win from the Kokrajhar West constituency for the straight second term.
