Guwahati(Assam), July 10 : A total of 568 new cases were detected in the state on Thursday out which 355 cases are from Guwahati city alone .
The plasma-therapy unit in GUwahati Medical college was stated today and and first plasma was administered today at the ICU of Guwahati Medical College . After Delhi Assam is the second state to start plasma therapy for critically ill patients .
Today, 2 more critically ill Covid patients succumbed at the GMCH here due complications from sepsis and acute pneumonia taking the total number of deaths to 27.
The day also saw the discharge of 421 patients from various hospital across the state after recovery .
Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 568 new #COVID19 patients recorded in Assam today, with 355 patients from Guwahati City alone. I advise Ghy people not to panic & take proper care. ”
