Guwahati (Assam), May 17 : The government has decided to put a ban on inter-district movement from Friday, according to Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Talking to media , Dr. Sarma said ,“A notification regarding the ban has already been published.”

The state registered the highest single -day surge of 92 deaths on Monday .
6394 new Covid -19 cases were detected in the state in the last 24 hours out of which 1100 cases were from Kamrup ( Metro) .
These cases were detected after conducting 91,841 tests in the last 24 hours .
