Guwahati ( Assam) , May 19 : The first fatality due to Covid -19 induced ‘Black Fungus’ was reported at the Apollo Hospital here on Wednesday morning at 6 am.
According to sources , 27 -year- old Palmoni Bora was tested Covid -19 positive on May 6 last . He was initially treated in a Nagaon Hospital and was discharged after he tested negative .

Due to post Covid -19 complications he was admitted to Apollo Hospital her on May 15 after he tested positive of the rare fungal infection Mucormycosis or ‘Black Fungus’ and succumbed to his infections at 6 am this morning .
Bora hailed from from Chamuagaon in Nagaon’s Dhing area.
