Guwahati(Assam), Sept 7 : A total of 1537 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Sunday taking the total number of cases in the state to 125459.
Among the new cases , 382 were reported from Kamrup Metro, 125 from Hojai and 108 from Dibrugarh .
According the the Health Minister , H . B Sarma ,1537 #COVID cases detected today out of 23336 tests done in last 24 hours and the positivity rate is 6.58%.
A total of 1763 patients discharged on Sunday from various hospital after recovery .
The minister also informed 8 more Covid patient succumbed to their infections on Sunday and they have been identified as Sankor Sharma(58) & Madhusmita Baruah(43), Sivasagar; Maina Das(42), Lakhimpur; Giribala Devi(70), Nagaon; Prasanta Kumar Borthakur(62) & Prabnab Bhowmick(62), Kamrup M; Hiranmoy Das (73), Kokrajhar and Dhaneswar Bora(92), Jorhat.
