Guwahati (Assam) , July 13 : A total of 735 new cases of Covid were detected in the state on Sunday with 400 of them in Guwahati alone .
With this the total number of cases in the state has gone up to 16806 .
However , a total of 10, 894 patients have recovered and the state now has 5873 active cases .
On Sunday 4 more Covid patients died in the state taking the death toll to 39.
The 3 patients who died in Guwahati are Nilakshi Singh aged 40 years , Arjun Kumar Ajit Saria aged 63 years and Subhawati Devi Maurya aged 55 years .
At around 2.30 this afternoon Jorhat’s Ashish Sahewal aged 36 years with no history of comorbidity with sudden onset breathing difficulty died at the Jorhat Medical College Hospital . He was undergoing treatment for Covid .
Meanwhile the state Govt has constituted a 4-member Death Audit Board for #COVID19 in accordance with @ICMRDELHI guidelines. Officially a death will be attributed to #Covid_19 only after the Board has ascertained it.
