Guwahati (Assam), June 10 : 2 persons in the state have become victims of Covid -19 within a week .
According to information available , on Sunday a Covid positive patient , Arun Kakati aged around 54 years died due to Covid -19 .He had recently returned from Chennai and was placed under home quarantine and he was suffering from high fever.
He was a resident of Diphu and died while being taken to Diphu Medical College and Hospital in a serious state.
Earlier , he was released after 14-day institutional quarantine and was put under home quarantine.
A COVID-19 patient undergoing treatment at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital died on Wednesday. The patient Kamal Krishna Pal (67) was suffering from Cancer and had returned to Assam in a flight on May 29 from Mumbai with his wife.
The couple were under institutional quarantine at a private hotel in Tezpur.
The late patient was a resident of Natunpara under Ward No 13 in Tezpur town under Sonitpur district.
According to sources in Tezpur Medical College and Hospital he died due to Co-morbidity .
So far six patients have died due to Covid -19 in the state .
