Guwahati (Assam), Aug 1 : A total of 1457 new Covid cases were detected in past 24 hours in the state which includes 275 from Kamrup Metro, 136 from Dibrugarh and 116 from Sonitpur.
The results were arrived at after conducting a total of 27161 tests across the state in 24 hours .
With this the total number of cases have gone upto 41726 . The active cases stand at 11265 .
4 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections on Saturday taking the death toll to 101 The patients have been identified as Morning Pohleng aged 40 from Cachar , Lila Paul aged 70 also from from Cachar and Hiramon Thakur aged 68 from Golaghat.
Meanwhile ,1085 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the state after recovery .
The Health Minister tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 1457 new #COVID19 cases detected out of 27161 tests conducted in last 24 hrs. Our positivity rate continues to be low at 5.36%.Kamrup (M): 275, Dibrugarh: 136, Sonitpur: 116”.
