Kokrajhar (Assam),Sep 24: Police here nabbed ten members of newly floated United Liberation for Bodoland (ULB) from three districts of Bodoland Territorial Region.
Addressing a press conference held at SP office here today , Special DGP and in-charge IGP of BTR LR Bishnoi informed that police have apprehended 10 ULB cadres from different locations of Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa districts in the past 48 hours .
He said that eight of the ten arrested ULB militants were arrested from Kokrajhar district.
He informed that police recovered two pistols, ammunitions,12 mobile handset and 21 demand notes from the arrested ULB militants .
He said that six out of the of the ten militants are yet to be identified .
He said that police have stepped up action against the militant outfit in the region.
He also informed that police has the information that presently six sophisticated arms are is possession of the ULB cadres.
He also urged the militant outfits to shun the path of violence and come to the mainstream for overall welfare of the society.
