Shillong ( Meghalaya), Nov 1 : Youth leader Aloysius Papang hailing from Shangpung village, in West Jaintia Hills District has been invited by Kalinga International Youth Foundation to grace as the three day KYF International Conference ( PURBAAYAN) on ‘ India and South East Asia: Commemorating and reviving the MARITIME, TRADE, CIVILIZATION and CULTURAL LINKAGES ” as special guest amongst few other eminent dignitaries from India and ASEAN countries on the eve of Balijatra 2022 from Nov 7 to Nov 10 at Mayfair Convention Centre, Bhubaneshwar.
The participating South East ASEAN Countries include Brunei, Cambodia, Philippines, Singapore Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Lous, Thailand, Vietnam and India as the host nation .
The event is being organized to honour the vision and call of PM Narendra Modi to ” Look East and Act East ” and to bring friendly foreign delegations to visit India through people to people contact through exchange of culture, tourism, commerce and act as the real Ambassador to build international relationship and also to revive ancient relationship between India and South East ASEAN countries and to promote the host state Odisha as one of the leading state of India by adopting SDG- 2030, rich heritage of Art, craft, culture, tourism etc.
Earlier ,Papang had represented India and Meghalaya at many international conferences held both in India and outside .
He will be leaving for Odisha on Nov 5.
