Dimapur (Nagaland), Dec 8: In the backdrop of the continued tension and volatile situation where 24×7 prohibitory orders under CrPc Section 144 was clamped in Mon town since Dec 5 after 14 civilians were gunned down by security forces on December 4 at Oting village, Mon, the district administration has made a partial modifications to lift the same after the situation in the town came to normalcy.
According to an official bulletin, Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K, stated that the imposition of Section 144 under CrPC, 1973, in Mon Town, shall continue to remain in force only from 8 PM to 4 am with the conditions that gathering of more than five persons in public places and all vehicular movement of non-essential nature are prohibited.
