Shillong (Meghalaya), June 9: In a shocking case that has left many stunned, Sonam Raghuvanshi, a newlywed wife, has been accused by the Meghalaya Police of plotting her husband Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder during their honeymoon trip. According to DGP I. Nongrang, Sonam surrendered to the Uttar Pradesh Police and subsequently, three men were arrested for their alleged involvement in the case. A fourth assailant is still on the run.
The arrested men reportedly confessed that Sonam had hired them to kill Raja. However, Sonam’s family has denied these allegations, with her brother claiming that she is still in a state of shock. Her father has demanded a CBI probe into the murder.
The couple went missing on May 23 while on their honeymoon in Meghalaya, and Raja’s body was found in a gorge on June 2. The police investigation has revealed a sinister plot, leaving many questions unanswered. As the case unfolds, the family seeks justice for Raja’s tragic death.
Sonam is likely to be brought to Meghalaya as the case is registered in Sohra, and further investigation is underway.
