Dimapur (Nagaland), Oct 23: The Working Committee of the Naga National Political Groups (WC NNPGs) has clarified to a news item being flashed in different mass media indicating tendency of “split” within the NSCN (R).
In a press statement endorsed jointly by NSCN (R) leaders, president, Wangtin Naga, vice-president, Akato Chophi, and Ato Kilonser, P. Tikhak, which was issued through the WC NNPGs Media Cell, stated that while the same remains nullified and bears no credibility, it also regretted that a “minor internal issue” within the party has been “blown” out of proportion and also the same was “exposed” in the public domain.
It said that due to timely intervention of WC NNPGs Convener, N Kitovi Zhimomi, and other NNPGs leaders, the “misunderstanding” has been resolved amicably and put to rest keeping in mind the interest of the Nagas at large and the “inevitable political solution”.
While reiterating that henceforth the three “top leaders” of the NSCN (R) would once again work together cohesively with due consultation with each other and would continue to strengthen the NNPGs till the achievement of its “final goal”, the three leaders have further justified that it has observed that some elements with “ulterior motives” have been instigating the collective leaders for vested interest for which such elements have been warned to immediately desist from further nefarious and divisive activities.
