Khanapara(Meghalaya), Mar22: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) organized a national conference on “Water for Climate Resilience – North East India” to commemorate World Water Day.
The conference, held in collaboration with Nature Care Initiative (NCI) and supported by Himalayan News Chronicles, brought together esteemed experts and stakeholders to discuss strategies for building climate-resilient water management systems in North East India.
Distinguished personalities, including Mr. Durga Prasad Mishra, Water Technology Expert at Breath Green Pvt Ltd; Prof. Dr. Baldev Raj Gupta, eminent journalist and educationist; and Mr. James Kharkongor, Deputy Project Director of the MegArise Project, Meghalaya, graced the occasion with their presence.
The conference aimed to raise awareness about the critical issue of water resilience in the face of climate change and promote collaborative efforts to address this challenge.
With this initiative, USTM has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainability, environmental awareness, and climate resilience in the region.
