Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 19 : Dr. Joram Beda., IAS Commissioner & Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Health &Family Welfare Department, today, Oct 19 , 2023 inaugurated the Video Bronchoscope Machine, at Reid Provincial Chest Hospital, here which was funded by the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth.
The event was held in the presence of the Hospital Superintendent Dr. M. Mawrie, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. (Mrs) J.Kharwanlang along with the Hospital staff and K.J. Gangte (Head Key Relation Officer, Shillong) with the other representatives from the ICICI Bank.
The Video Bronchoscope will be used for bronchoscopy which is a procedure that lets the examining doctor look at the airways of the lungs of a patient. The machine will benefit all the patients advised for the procedure especially the low-income group.
