Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 29: The Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, organized a one-day workshop on “Digital Dangers: How Cyber Crime Fuels Drug Abuse” on Thursday, August 28, at Landmark Victoria Hills, Nongrim Hills, here.
The workshop, attended by Camelia Doreen Lyngwa, highlighted the commitment to developmental and welfare initiatives. The event was conducted in active collaboration with the Drug Reduction, Elimination & Action Mission, Meghalaya Police, Dreamzware Software Solutions, and Kripa Foundation.
The workshop focused on the theme of digital dangers and how cybercrime fuels drug abuse, emphasizing the need for awareness and action to prevent the spread of such issues. By organizing this event, the authorities aim to educate citizens about the risks associated with cybercrime and its potential impact on drug abuse.
